Questions from partner agencies
When is the best time to run this Istanbul food tour?
The tour runs well year-round because most tastings and the cooking class are indoors or covered. April to June and September to October are the most comfortable for the market walks and waterfront tea, while summer is lively and winter is quiet and atmospheric — the food markets of the Spice Bazaar and Kadikoy are busy and full in every season.
Can you cater for dietary needs, and is the food halal?
Yes. Turkish cuisine is predominantly halal, and the restaurants and workshops we use serve halal meat as standard; we can confirm this for every stop. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-allergy and other requirements are straightforward to accommodate on a private tour — share your clients' needs when you book and we will brief the guide and adjust the tastings and cooking-class menu accordingly.
Is this a private tour or a shared group departure?
It is fully private — your clients travel with their own licensed food guide and driver, and the pace, appetite and stops are theirs. There are no strangers on the tour and no fixed departure dates; we run it on the days your booking needs, which also makes dietary requests and the cooking class easy to personalise.
What group size does this program suit, and is there a minimum?
It is operated as a private tour, so it scales from couples and small families to larger food-interest groups. We typically confirm from around 2 pax upward; the hands-on cooking class works best for smaller parties, and for larger groups we arrange additional chefs and guides. Tell us your expected pax and we will size it accordingly.
What is included in your rate, and what does the agent keep as margin?
We quote net agency rates on application — there are no public prices, so you set your own retail margin. The rate covers 3 nights in a 4–5★ hotel on B&B, all listed tastings (10+ stops) and 2 lunches, the hands-on cooking class, ferry crossings to the Asian side, a private licensed food guide and private transport and airport transfers. Flights, dinners, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses and tips are not included.
How much does the tour cost?
We do not publish prices. As a B2B destination management company we quote confidential net rates to partner agencies on request, so your clients never see our pricing and you keep full control of your retail margin. Send us your dates and pax and we will return a net quote and a rate breakdown.
Is there a single supplement for solo travellers?
Yes — hotel rates are based on double or twin occupancy, so a single supplement applies for guests requiring their own room. The supplement is set out in the net rate breakdown we send with your quote.
