Questions from partner agencies
When is the best time to run the Gallipoli & Troy tour?
April to June and September to October are ideal — mild for the exposed battlefield walks and the open ruins at Troy. The program runs year-round; summer is hot on the peninsula, while winter is quiet, atmospheric and often better value for groups, with the occasional wet day to plan around.
Can this tour be timed for Anzac Day on 25 April?
Yes. Anzac Day is the peak of the remembrance calendar, with the Dawn Service at Anzac Cove drawing large crowds, controlled access and heavy demand on peninsula hotels. We can align the itinerary with the commemorations, but the Anzac Day period must be booked well in advance — please request these dates as early as possible so we can secure guiding, transport and accommodation.
What group size does this program suit, and is there a minimum?
It is operated as a private tour, so it scales from couples and small remembrance parties to full coaches. We typically confirm from around 2 pax upward, assigning additional guides and vehicles for larger groups. Tell us your expected pax and we will size the vehicle and guiding accordingly.
How much does the tour cost, and what does your net rate cover?
We quote net agency rates on application — there are no public prices, so you set your own retail margin. The rate covers 2 nights in 4–5★ hotels (Çanakkale on half board, Istanbul on B&B), 2 lunches, the Çanakkale dinner, the Dardanelles ferry crossing, entrance to the Gallipoli memorials and Troy, a private licensed guide and private transport throughout. International and domestic flights, personal expenses and tips are not included.
Which battlefield sites and memorials are covered?
Day 1 is a full battlefield tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula: Anzac Cove and Ari Burnu, Lone Pine Cemetery, the trenches of Johnston's Jolly, the Turkish 57th Regiment Memorial and Chunuk Bair, guided by a licensed guide. We can weight the day toward a particular nation's sites — Australian, New Zealand, British, French or Turkish — on request.
Is there a single supplement for solo travellers?
Yes — hotel rates are based on double or twin occupancy, so a single supplement applies for guests requiring their own room. The supplement is set out in the net rate breakdown we send with your quote.
Can Gallipoli & Troy be extended or combined with other regions?
Yes — it works as a stand-alone remembrance escape or as a building block. We regularly bookend it with an Istanbul city stay or continue down to the Aegean toward Ephesus and Pamukkale. Send us the shape you need and we will tailor the itinerary and quote.
